Managing Species

Add and manage the Species used by your Herps and Clutches.

Species are used throughout HerpClutch — a Herp must have a Species, and a Species contributes to record identifiers.

Adding a Species

  • You can add a Species where supported.
  • Adding a Species requires a Category.

Species configuration

A Species may carry configuration such as incubation values, which contribute to the expected hatch calculations for a Clutch.

The specific Species fields and any default incubation values are defined in the app. This Help Guide does not publish species incubation values.
